We resisted the urge to "Blog" for years but have decided to try using this forum as a way to address some commonly asked questions and to provide some new (general) information without resorting to a FAQ or newsletter.

Of course, if you are in our service area and looking to renovate, we'd love to meet you! You can reach us through the FREE CONSULTATION link at the top of the page. The language here is a little more casual than the rest of our web site. We hope you enjoy it!

A few things we hope you'll keep in mind if you decide to continue reading:

Free advice is worth every penny. Something you read here (or anywhere for that matter) may not apply to your situation. Following anyone's advice blindly and without context is a bad idea.

"You are allowed your own opinion but you are not allowed your own science." This is not the comments section of a Facebook post - technical information here is gathered from reputable, peer reviewed industry sources and is presented without embellishment. Best practices change over time (science is replaced by better science) but anything technical posted in this Blog is correct as of the date it was published.

Opinion and fact are two different animals. "Marble countertops look amazing!" is an opinion. "Marble countertops are more porous than quartz and need additional maintenance!" is a fact. We present both opinion and fact so please don't confuse them!

Finally, remember that you are reading a Blog written from the perspective of people at a construction company. Like everything on the internet, there is bias here! We probably won't suggest you buy a new car instead of renovating the bathrooms. A car dealership's Blog might suggest the opposite.

Thanks for visiting! We hope the articles here will leave you better informed (or at least entertained) and that you'll pop by again occasionally to see what's new!

- Mike, Steve and the Gang
